Hello friends! Welcome to my world!

My name is Melena S. DeFlorimonte and I am the owner and lead photographer of  M. Shonell Photography (Shonell is my middle name). I am a published food, product and lifestyle photographer. I’m Guyanese born, currently reside in Prince George’s County, MD and service the DMV area. I am blessed to have had my work featured in several publications such as Washingtonian Magazine, Color Story Magazine, Femme Fatale DC Photography Book and the memoir “If These Heels Could Talk.”

Always fascinated with photography, I acquired my first camera at the tender age of 12 and have had a love affair with photography since. With continual self study, practice and mentorship from several amazing photographers, I honed my craft and found my style.

I ascribe to the notion of excellence in all that I put my hands to, therefore I strive to execute your vision to the best of my ability. My style is bold, vibrant, timeless and authentic.  It would be my absolute pleasure to help turn your vision into reality.
